IKEA Add-On for Sims 2: Got the Time for Assembly?

In June 2008 Electronic Arts (EA) will launch an additional expansion pack for its successful Sims series. The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff contains a unique selection of IKEA furniture for your Sims household. With this new add-on you’ll get the chance to place BILLY, BONDE and KLIPPAN sideboards in your new house.

But there are 3 hitches

Sims 2 IKEA1st. Why do I have to pay $20 for a IKEA product placement expansion? Wouldn’t one perceive such a nice thing to be free of charge?

2nd. Wouldn’t it be more realistic, that my Sims will lose a whole day assembling those sideboards, beds and desks? Instead of that common experience the IKEA furniture with IKEA Home Stuff for Sims 2 will come assembled and out of the box.

sims ikea3rd. The IKEA Stuff will not only come assembled, it also has been shipped already to the room you like to place it. Unfair, since everyone else will have to demolate his new car, hire a cab with a pissed driver or pay hard for shipping. You also cannot happen to assemble your new table in front of your house realizing that it’s to big for your entry door.
